Stuck in Snow?
Here is What to Do
Sliding off the road or getting high-centered in deep snow is stressful. Follow this safety checklist to protect yourself and your vehicle before calling for recovery.

Stay Inside Your Vehicle
If you slide off a busy highway like the Glenn or Parks, the shoulder is extremely hazardous. Stay inside your vehicle with your seatbelt fastened. Cold temperatures and passing traffic present immediate dangers.
Turn On Hazard Lights & Clear Exhaust
Make your vehicle visible by turning on your emergency flashers. If it is safe to exit briefly, ensure your tailpipe is completely clear of snow blocks to prevent carbon monoxide buildup inside the cab.
Do Not Spin Your Wheels
Attempting to power out of deep snow often high-centers your vehicle's frame, burns your transmission clutches, and digs your tires deeper. Stop spinning and prepare for winching.
Pinpoint Your Coordinates
Note the nearest mile marker, highway exit, intersection, or drop a pin on your mobile maps. Knowing your exact coordinates allows our dispatch crew to send the closest recovery truck instantly.
Professional Ditch Extraction
Our custom Peterbilt flatbed recovery trucks are outfitted with high-strength synthetic winch lines and heavy-duty steel rigging blocks. We connect strictly to factory frame hooks or control arms to slide your vehicle smoothly out of snowbanks without causing secondary structural damage.
